With Wild Edibles I guided and designed all elements of the UX, graphic design, and branding. This included several iterations of both the interface and identity over the years. I worked closely with the development team to build delightful experiences and lightweight interactions. For this project I used my full stack design and cartography experience to craft a UX and UI that is fun, intuitive, and easy to use in the field. The previous design of this app were clunky and confusing to use, particularly the images were small, making it difficult to use in actual identification. Through 2 rounds of wire framing and user testing, I built a design that holds the space for both the plant information and images. Swiping left on this detail view reveals a slider of images of that plant's different parts and in various seasons.I also upgraded the identity to be more grounded and tactile, actually cutting each component out of paper and making a high resolution scan.
